土星４ＩＯ - "紫色の ホタル"
No. I have no idea how to pronounce it. I've been calling it "T410," which sounds like a good droid name for a new Star Wars character. According to the label, the name of the album is "Purple Firefly," and that's the two terms I'll be using to review this.
So let's reboot:
T410 - "Purple Firefly"
This release is a dark, dank drink of cool, smooth vapor - straight from the fountain of classic vaporwave. Why is this particular VW album so noteworthy? It's got the goods. Thick, over-bassed rhythm tracks, pitch-shifted and heavily affected vocal elements, and huge washes of synth make this a highly pleasing music to bump in your earphones or in your ride. Plus, most of the track lengths are miles longer than typical 2 minute squirts found on other titles.
I won't do a track by track analysis here, but you should listen to Astral, which to me is the flagship tune on this tape. It's an eight minute banger that makes this whole release well worth the price of admission. Looking forward to more from this artist.
